REVIEW: Malum Part 1 By Amo Jones

SYNOPSIS:
“Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…”
Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks.
One day, she fell down The Elite Kings’ rabbit hole. Sucked into a dark vortex of lies, hate, and deceit, and spat out by money, glitz, and power.
There were things this little girl didn’t know, things she was about to find out and secrets that have been kept from her. Those secrets were guarded by the boys that were about to smash her world open and tear it all apart…
He may be a Malum, but she is a Stuprum, born into this world but neglected by the choice of her mother. Her eyes may not glisten with stars, but they roar with fire, and when she finally reaches her peak, it’s that same fire that will burn.
Them.
All.
Down.
My name is Tillie Stuprum, and my story is not like the rest.
Everything she thought she knew is a fabricated version of the truth. I’m Nate Riverside-Malum, the one your girl whispers about to her friends and whose initials are scratched down your back. Her story is not like the rest of them, because her story is dead.

REVIEW:

Holy crap. Insane. Just insane. This was such a heart wrenching, intense, and at times, confusing read.

I didn't even realize that I had been up literally all night into the AM reading this book until the sun started coming up. Once things really got going I seriously couldn't put it down. And not in the omg this book is so good I can't stop reading way, more in the I didn't even notice reality and was fully sucked into the Storie and it wouldn't release me, kinda good.

"He's too much for everything for me, but I won't let that feeling be a weakness for me. I choose to use it as a weapon instead."

Amo has a special way with words and like I've said before she doesn't shy away from the hard stuff and this one 100% has some deep shit that happens. I loved the first three books with Madison and Bishop, but Malum wins the cake. So much stuff that I still don't understand and so much stuff that just broke my heart.

She has a warning in the beginning of the book and from that and seeing other reviews I knew this one was going to be emotional, but I really didn't expect to cry that hard. I woke up with a migraine and and puffy eyes. I haven't cried while reading in a while. It's definitely not a book for the faint of heart, but man I am so glad I read this book.

It does end off with a cliffhanger and leaves you pretty confused about a lot of things, but that just makes me want Malum: Part 2 even more. I'm not just dying for Malum 2 though, I can't wait for Brantley's book as well. I know this series is just going to get more and more insane as it goes on and I can't freaking wait.

One thing I want to say is how much I freaking loved Tillie. She is a truly unique character and so damn strong with all that she has gone through and is still enduring. I can't wait to watch the queen rise from the ashes.

Nate however is on my shitlist at the moment, but I will refrain from fully judging him until we get Part 2 and we get to see what the heck is his deal.

When you pick this book up just be as prepared as you can for an Amo Jone's book because in some parts it is very hard to read Through, but if you've loved Amo's other dark reads you are absolutely going to devour and love Malum. She has truly outdone herself with this one.

I absolutely cant wait to see where her mind is going to take this crazy storie in the future books!

"Boys like Nate are lethal, because you fall for their charm, their jokes, and their beautiful faces. By the time you find yourself lost in their darkness with their demons lurking around you, it's too late. They suck you in with charisma and Spit you out with sin."
