ARC REVIEW - Revenge at Raleigh High By Callie Hart
Synopsis:
SILVER
Kiss me.
Hold me.
Claim me.
Love me.
It’s hard to remember what life was like before the dark-haired, dark-eyed devil waltzed into Silver’s life and set fire to her soul.
The town of Raleigh is gradually returning to normal after the painful losses it suffered. Jacob Weaving and his football f#@k boys are nothing but tainted memories in Silver’s rear-view mirror. The halls of Raleigh High don’t even inspire the same terror that they used to…
But…
Falling in love so hard, so fast was always bound to blind a girl. Silver has been too wrapped up in her inked-up hero to notice any of the signs: all is not as it should be at Raleigh High. The Raleigh High elite haven’t forgotten the girl who dared defy them…
And now it’s time to make her pay.

REVIEW:
☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️Holy crap. If you thought book one (Rebel At Raleigh High) was crazy amazing, then buckle up buttercup, because the sequel blew it out of the water.
After that ending in book one we were left hanging a little bit, and this one will do the same, but RARH picks it right back up and as soon as it starts, man this book doesn't slow down.
We jump right back into Alex and Silver's story at Raleigh high, and the stakes are even higher than they were in the first book.
"Alex Moretti is the kind of guy who sweeps into your life like a wildfire, torching anything and everything you've ever cared about before he makes himself perfectly at home, rooting himself down so deep into your soul that it becomes impossible to differentiate where you end and he begins."
Everything jumps from crazy insane to even worse. But even though in some aspects some thing are worse we really get to work through and see a lot of development that I know I was craving to see happen in book one.
This book isn't just about Silver and Alex, it's a dark story about the thing that happened to her, its a story about love, and family. It's so much rolled into one book.
We get to see Silver truly start working through what happened to her, which we didn't get a lot of in book one.
I'm loving what Silver and Alex's relationship is forming and developing into. I love getting to see the way Alex is with her. Always so patient and caring even when that's not really his nature.
" You are the sun, Silver. You're the gravity. You're the air in my fucking lungs. I'm a satellite, trapped in your orbit, and I'll remain here until the end of time. My face and my dumb wretched heart, will always be turned to you."
Their relationship is obviously mostly what the book is focused on, but one of my favorites parts about this book is Silver and her dad's relationship. He is an amazing father. Seeing the interactions between the two, and even how he is with Alex, has got to be one of my favorites parts of this book.
I enjoyed this book so much I didn't want to put it down. The plot gets even more crazy in RARH, and it has you hooked to the pages just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
If you have been waiting and anticipating RARH, Callie Hart does not disappoint.
Buckle up and enjoy the ride, I know I sure did!
*I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
SO. What I gather is I NEED TO GET MY HANDS ON THIS BOOK? It sounds freaking beyond wild and that is definitely what I need/want right now. Great review! My interest has officially been piqued. I'm 100% sold. SIGN ME THE HECK UP @ UNIVERSE.
ReplyDeleteYes! It definitely is. There were so many things that caught me off guard and I loved that because that's hard for books to do now, after having read so much. Thank you so much! If you do pick it up I hope you love it!
