ARC REVIEW - Twisted Betrayal by Siobhan Davis

Synopsis:

He thinks he’s broken me. That I’m finally under his complete control. But I’m biding my time, gathering intel, making plans, and waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. So, when an unexpected savior appears—offering me a way out—I grasp it with both hands.

But the man I love refuses to let me go, and he’s hell-bent on protecting me at all costs.

Except he’s far too late.

Kaiden’s betrayal fuels the anger flowing through my veins, and now our roles are reversed—I’m the hunter, and he’s my prey. I enjoy torturing him, lying to him, and letting him believe in false truths that were never our reality.

Until the stakes are raised, and I’m forced into playing their game again. Only this time, it’s not just my life hanging in the balance.

I thought he’d done his worst. That he didn’t have the power to hurt me anymore.

But I was wrong.

His depravity knows no bounds, and now, he’s taken everything from me.

This time, it means war, and I’m taking no prisoners.

*Warning*
Lots of cussing and emotional ranting ahead in this review. 😁

What in the ever-loving F*!k did I just read?!  Holy shit. This has got to be one of the most effed up books I've ever read in terms of the sick shit some of these characters to do each other.

"This time we're playing by my rules. And he'll learn that lesson the hard way."

This one took me a bit more to get into than the first book did.
But once I got hooked, I was HOOKED.

Omg this book is like a scary movie. One horrifying thing after another and you know it's only going to get worse, but you just can't look away!

We learned pretty early on in book one that some of these characters are major A-Holes *caugh* Abby's dad *caugh*

But there are some new developments in the A-Hole department in this one that may surprise you.

Also some new developments in the storyline and many more secrets revealed.

You know I've had plenty of books make me upset.  Make me cry, frustrated, beyond happy, but it's rare that a book makes me so  fucking mad. Not because it's a bad story, quite the opposite.

This book just got to me so much emotionally. Every damn time Abby tries to get ahead the A-Hole's are three steps ahead and knock her back down every time. And it's so frustrating. Poor girl just can't catch a break.
I can't wait for book three to, finally get some retribution. πŸ˜‰

And let me just say, there are certain characters that ms. Siobhan can feel free to kill off all she likes. Cause they gots to go!

"I want him to suffer, and I'll make him pay. I don't know how. But, someday, he is getting what's coming to him."

All in all, it was a solid sequel. Of course we end it with another cliffhanger that had me spewing some choice words at the end. πŸ˜‚

I know all this ranting may make it seem like I didn't enjoy the book, which is not at all the case! This book just had my emotions running high the entire time, and that was the point.

We're not meant to like these bad characters I'm talking about. They are horrible human beings, and I'm going to be so happy when they, get what's coming to them in book three.

If you enjoyed book one definitely pick this one up, but just know that the shit just gets crazier and a lot more dark in this one. It will have your emotions on high alert. If that's your thing, pick this one up Asap!
