ARC Review: Enemies by Tijan
Title: Enemies
Author: Tijan
Genre: New Adult. Sports Romance.
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ 5
Synopsis:
Stone Reeves was my neighbor, and I’ve hated him since sixth grade.
Gorgeous and charismatic, he became the town’s football god, while I became the town’s invisible girl.
He went to a Division 1 school for football, while my father was fired by his father.
His team won the National Championship, while my mother died the same day.
He was a first round pick for the NFL ...
… while I made the worst decision in my life.
Now I’m in Texas trying to pick up the pieces of my life.
But, Stone is here.
Stone is everywhere.
It doesn’t matter that disaster has struck my life again.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the one trying to console me.
It doesn’t matter that he’s the nation’s newest football obsession.
Because for me, he always has been and always will be my enemy.

Review:
Tijan is a master at pulling on your heart strings through her stories, and Enemies is no different.
This book had all of the things that are kryptonite to me.
- Enemies to lovers ✓
- Grew up together ✓
- Hot football star ✓
But Enemies delves so much deeper than all of that. Due to spoilers I won't get into all of it, but damn. This Story isn't just about enemies to lovers, its about heartache, family, friends, and the struggles and hardships of life in general.
Dusty does not have it easy. She has been through so much, it's insane. It a lot for one person to handle, but just when she needs someone the most, Stone is there.
And the heartache! This book has everything you could want or need in an enemies to lovers romance. It hits you right in the feelings.
Stone Reeves is everything. 😍 I loved his character. He isn't just your typical douchebag football player. Obviously, I seriously enjoyed how he was specifically with Dusty. And my gosh, Dusty. Her life is one big ball of fucked up. Girl can't catch a break for nothing. And even though there are moments in everyones lives where you just need to fall apart, and Dusty is no different, she is resilient through it all.
I really loved how Tijan shows the sometimes ugly truth of being at your lowest that you've ever been, but showing that it's okay to break every once in a while because it forges you and you come back stronger than you were before. Dusty is so strong to endure what she did and still come out of it on the other side, not unscathed, but stronger for it.
This book has everything you need. It will pull on your heart, it will make you sad, make you happy, it will have you glued to the pages until the very end.
I also really loved the banter back and forth between these two. The hate in the beginning that eventually morphs into more. And when it does, it will melt you heart and your panties. 😉
You honestly can't go wrong with any of Tijans books, but Enemies is everything you need right now, trust me.
