Even so, after learning of her treasonous husband’s upcoming nuptials, she set out to find him and locked him in her dungeon. There, and only there, would she unveil a time when she once allowed herself to be vulnerable. A past detailing how her heart was coaxed to beat outside her chest, only to have it crushed by the cold hands of betrayal.
But true vengeance will need to wait. War is coming, and with it, decisions and danger masked in treacherous beauty.
All too soon, the young queen will learn that time could be the most dangerous foe of all.
For it is time that would reveal all the ways a dead heart can beat anew.

Review:

Holy epicness! I love Ella Field's writing, and I was ecstatic when she announced that she was releasing her first fantasy. Fantasy is one of my favorite genres to read and the way that Ella writes so beautifully in the romance genre, I knew this book was going to be out of this world. And I was right. Oh my gosh, Ella outdid herself with A King So Cold!

This book was everything I was hoping for and so much more than I knew I needed. The writing is beautiful as always, she had me captivated from page one. Audra is so different from any heroine I've ever read about. There is so much depth to her character.

You know those books that consume you heart and soul? They suck you right into their world and yours doesn't exist for the duration of the book? That's what it was like reading A King So Cold for me. I read a lot of books and it's not often anymore that while I'm reading, my world disappears and it's just me and the world that the author has created, but Ella managed to teleport me to Allureldin inside my own head.

A king So Cold is written so well you would never guess this is her first fantasy. The writing is so beautiful, the story telling out of this world, and the world itself that she has created?! It's fantastic. It's intriguing. It's everything. The characters are so well developed, as is the story. It takes you on a magical journey.

This book is not to be missed. Whether you have read fantasy before or not, I feel you will love this absolutely captivating read. If you have read and loved her other romances, you need to read this book. Trust me. It's one of those must read books. I had the biggest smile on my face after finishing this book and my heart felt so full. I didn't ever want to leave this world.

I know technically, pretty much everywhere, you can only give five stars, but this was an out of this world six star read for me. And if we're talking on a ten star rating level? It's an eleven. I don't lightly give out six stars. This is only my first six star read of the year.  ❤️
