ARC REVIEW: Bennett Mafia By Tijan

 SYNOPSIS:

There were always whispers about my roommate at Hillcrest Academy.

The wealthiest of the wealthy sent their kids to our boarding school, and Brooke Bennett had been at the top, though I never quite knew why. She was fun and outgoing, but she kept quiet about her family. The only things she showed me were photographs of her brothers.

I became fascinated with her second-oldest brother. Kai Bennett.

He was the most of them all. Smoldering. Hypnotic. Alluring.
Kai had eyes that pulled me in and a face that haunted my dreams.

Then I met him.

He came to our school with their father, and that’s when I learned what kind of family Brooke came from. They were mafia, and Brooke’s oldest brother was dead. Her father said accident, but Brooke said murder.

Three months later, her father died, and Kai became the head of the Bennett Family. Brooke left Hillcrest for good, and that was the last time I saw her.

Fourteen years later, I’m staring at her face on the television. Brooke is missing.

Two days later, Kai Bennett kidnaps me

REVIEW:

Holy crap. Now I love Tijans' writing and to this day she has not disappointed me once. She is an automatic one click author for me and I am beyond blessed to have been able to read Bennett Mafia a little early due to winning a copy through a giveaway of hers. And man let me tell you, you are not going to want to sleep on this one!

This book freaking blew me away. Now I'm not a master with words the way that Tijan is so I'm just going to do my best to explain how truly amazing this book is, and why you should 100% pick it up.

This one follows Riley Bello and Kai Bennett. Kai is the head of the Bennett family and also a mafia boss. Riley knows him through her former boarding school roommate, Brooke. Who she hasn't seen in years. The story really gets started when years later Kai shows up and kidnaps Riley. And the crap kinda hits the fan from there.

I don't don't, and won't, go into much more detail because the rest of it you just need to find out for yourself, and believe me there's a lot more to find out with this one.

This book takes so many twists and turns, tests your morals and what you really think is right, yet you can't help rooting for the guy who's technically the "bad guy". Oh my goodness. Kai Bennett is something else! Can't really blame Riley for falling for him, kidnapper or not. 😉

Riley is such a strong and sassy heroine, definitely doesn't put up with any of Kai's crap, which is exactly what he needed. What with him being the hot, strong headed, alpha male that he is. But they just fit so well together. These two characters and the journey they go on, and their journey to falling in love is honestly one of my favorite Tijan romances. ❤️

This book just gets crazier, and crazier the longer it goes on. It sinks it's claws into you  and doesn't let go. Which is per usual for a Tijan book. This one is for sure at the top of my favorites of hers now.

I loved all of the characters in this one and truly hope that this isn't a forever standalone, because I need the rest of the Bennett family's stories!

I spent a whole weekend binge reading this book. I couldn't put it down. Even when I wasn't reading it I was thinking of the characters and wanting to get back to them.

Seriously do yourself a favor, pick this book up, and enjoy the wild ride.
