Unpopular Opinions Book Tag

I have seen so many on youtube do this tag, but I've also seen a few book bloggers do this as well so I thought i'd try out something different on the blog. I haven't been tagged by anyone I just wanted to try it out. 🤷🏻‍♀️  I originally saw this on  Brittany Elizabeth's blog (Bookishly Brittknee) and you can check out hers here. 

All of these are just my opinions and in no way am I saying that any of these books are bad, just that they weren't for me. So hopefully you enjoy it! 🙂

A POPULAR BOOK OR SERIES THAT YOU DIDN'T LIKE

I read this one a while ago and it was one of those books that was being so hyped up and everyone was loving it. I was super excited for it, but it just fell flat for me. I don't think I've ever had such a hard time getting through a book. I pushed through and finished it in the hopes it would get better for me, but sadly it didn't.  

A POPULAR BOOK OR SERIES EVERYONE SEEMS TO HATE BUT YOU 

I feel like Twilight gets a lot of hate. I haven't read it in years, but it will always have a special place in my heart for being the book that really got me to love reading.

A LOVE TRIANGLE WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER ENDED UP WITH THE PERSON YOU DID'NT WANT THEM TO END UP WITH, OR AN OTP YOU DON'T LIKE

That is definitely the Grisha trilogy for me. I loved these books, but I was 100% rooting for Alina to be with someone else in the end of this series. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A POPULAR BOOK GENRE YOU HARDLY REACH FOR 

Definitely Sci-Fi. I think I've maybe read one series in this genre? For some reason it's just never interested me. 

A POPULAR OR BELOVED CHARACTER YOU DO NOT LIKE

Carter Mahoney. Now I love a enemies to lovers trope as much as anyone, but this book and this character. No. I just couldn't do it. I never ended up finishing this one. 

A POPULAR AUTHOR YOU CAN'T SEEM TO GET INTO 

Now I have read a book by this author that I really enjoyed, but I've tried a few of them and I just can't seem to get into the writing style, which sucks because the one book of hers I did read, I loved. (The one pictured below)  It might just be that I enjoy her fantasy over her romance books. 

A POPULAR TROPE YOU'RE TIRED OF SEEING 

Love triangles. I used to love this, but I feel like it's kind of been done to death.

A COMMON SERIES YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN READING  

I have seen this series a lot, mostly on booktube, and while I do like fantasy, I just have no interest in reading this series. 

THE SAYING GOES "THE BOOK IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN THE MOVIE" WHAT MOVIE OR TV SHOW ADAPTATION DO YOU PREFER MORE THAN THE BOOKS? 

The Maze Runner. 100%. I only got through the first two books in that series and had to call it quits, but I enjoyed the movies. 🤷🏻‍♀️
