ARC Review - Forever and Never by Ella Fields
Synopsis:
Lars Bradby was supposed to be my forever.
That was before we found out he would become a father at the tender age of eighteen.
For years, he’d watched me.
For months, he’d wanted me.
For weeks, he’d chased me.
Relentless and infuriating, he turned my stubborn heart into something pliable and weak.
Sly and honest, he worked his way into my life as though he’d always planned to be the focal point of it.
In love and naive, even when our future seemed bleak, I believed in us.
Heartbroken and desperate, I tore my bleeding heart from my chest, wanting only the best for him.
In doing so, our forever wasn’t just interrupted. It was chased away with one irreversible decision after another.
And now, we could no longer see it beneath the heaping piles of debris we’d left in our wake.

Okay, this one is one of those books that's so hard to write a review for because I just don't have all the words to adequately describe everything this book made me feel, but I'm going to try, so bare with me lol.
"Forever is a curse for a broken heart to nurse."
This book was, honest to god, a roller coaster of emotions from start to finish.
Lars and Daphne's journey together through all of the unexpectedness of life, growing up, discovering themselves, and each other, really was something special to read.
Ella Fields always manages to have me on the brink of emotional breakdown when reading her books, but this one was just SO MUCH MORE.
If you've read Kiss and Break Up then you know what this book kind of centers on for these two and the struggles that they have to navigate.
I can honestly say I haven't read a book quite like this one. Their journey through everything that happens in this book and all of the things they have to go through was just so emotional, but their love for each other is undying, even though this book may make YOU feel like you're dying at parts.
Don't worry, she makes it all worth it. ;)
"She wasn't the type to be unveiled in one sitting but, rather, would make you work to peel each beautiful layer off."
I connected so much with Daphne. I could really see a lot of myself in her character, scary I know, and I think that just made this book even more special to me. She is so resilient, and strong through things that would break any other person, and I really admired that about her character.
And Lars, oh my gosh, I can't even imagine going through the things he does and coming out on the other side stronger and a better person for it, like he does.
And the two of them together is the kind of love most people only dream about. It's beautiful, it's savage, it's hopeful. It's everything.
"I wanted her. I wanted her so bad it singed my lungs to even breath around her."
Do yourself a favor and pick up this book. You won't regret it.
