ARC Review - Fallen Saint by Monica James

Synopsis:

Just as this nightmare began, I once again find myself bound, destination unknown. However, this time, my kidnapper is the man who shattered my world beyond repair.

Aleksei Popov—Russia’s number one mobster, and the man I was sold to.

His intentions for me are clear—submit, obey him, and call him master—but I won’t surrender. I’m not like the other girls. Whether that’s a blessing or curse, I’ve yet to decide. The problem is, my disobedience intrigues my captor all the more.

When we arrive in Russia, the rules change.

Saint, the man who was once a sinner, is my only salvation. What was forbidden now gives me hope that there is light in the darkness. He will risk everything to set me free.

But behind these opulent walls, things aren’t what they seem, and when the fine line between pleasure and pain begins to blur, only one thing matters—saving my soul.

I will lie.

Cheat.

Steal.

I was once an angel, but now… I’m a fallen saint, ready to inflict my own pain and burn this hellhole to the ground.

Review:

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

What in the holy hell did I just read!?

Monica James really has a way with blowing your mind, not to mention making you question your own morals. I mean Aleksei!? What the fuck.

"To love someone, you have to be prepared to set them free."

I can't believe I somehow have to put into words what this book did to me. I mean, I couldn't stop reading and when I wasn't reading I would catch myself just thinking about where I left off and theorizing what was going to happen next.

I got stuck at about 80% in the book, not because it wasn't good, but because I was so damn anxious about what was going to go down and how this book was going to end. I already knew it was going to be a cliff hanger I just didn't know how bad it was going to be, but damn. I should have known to trust Monica.

"For every action, there is a consequence, and I will have to live with that every single day."

I need book three pronto!

Ok, getting into what actually went down in this book. I can't say a whole lot because, Major spoilers would happen, but what I can say is if you thought book two couldn't get any more insane than book one, you're dead wrong. The shit that goes down in this book had me on the edge of my seat scared shitless what was going to happen next, yet not being able to put the book down because i  Had to know!

This is for sure one of those books that is so enthralling you just can't/don't want to put it down.

Anything you thought or theorized about in book one, throw it out the window now.

I thought the shit had hit the fan in book one, boy was I wrong.

Aleksei? Talk about there being more than meets the eye for this one. I'm not gonna say much on him, but just know you may not always fully hate him. 😉

And Willow and Saint, they both have so many issues and thing's to work through, but they are so perfect for each other. Getting to see the relationship development between these two in this one was SO good! I Freaking love them.

"And for that...I love him all the more. A love-struck Juliet smitten with her bloodstained Romeo."

With all of that being said don't be afraid to pick this book up, if you're into dark reads, this is the series for you. These books are so good. Monica has done a phenomenal job with this one.

I loved everything about this book, the romance, the plot, the crazy twists and turns.

I am so psyched to see where Monica's evil genius mind takes these characters and their story in the next book. I know it's going to be just as phenomenal as the first two books.
