ARC REVIEW AND EXCERPT - CREW PRINCESS (CREW #2) BY TIJAN

SYNOPSIS:

Being crew is walking between two worlds.
One world is normal: Prom. Parties. College.
Those are the concerns they worry about.

In our world, we deal with other situations.
Cops. Drugs. Brawling.
That’s a typical day for us.

But what if it wasn’t?

What if there came a day when you stopped?
When you considered letting your enemies win?
When you didn’t fight back?
When you chose a different path?

First I lost my family. Then I got the Wolf Crew.
I couldn't lose them too.

But what happens when Cross, Zellman, and Jordan keep going…
...and I don’t?

REVIEW:

☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️

Oh my gosh. I first just want to say how much I love Tijan's writing. She's amazing and I've loved every book I've read of hers but there is something about these characters that I just connect with in such an amazing way.

We jump right back in with Bren and her crew in Crew Princess.

"The ugliness of it, the harshness of it, the realness of it. It's simple. With violence, someone gets hurt, it's going to happen. You're on one side or the other. There's no in between, because that's the bottom line for violence. Your mind is allowed to shut off. Your body takes over. And your body knows to protect it's own."

And the shit has well and truly hit the fan. There are so many things going on, and the mystery of trying to find out what is going on and who is behind it all, will have you glued to the pages through it all.

But it's not just that. The dynamic between Bren and her Crew is changing and evolving, as are the people.

There is so much character development. Especially, Bren. It's great to get to see her grow so much throughout this book.
She goes through such a metamorphosis in this book.

The emotions in this one are real, Ya'll. Prepare yourselves.

"We were feared. We were loved. We were respected."

Oh, my gosh. this book killed me but also filled me with such happiness. I love these characters and this story so much.

Tijan really knows how to makes these characters come alive on the pages.

"I got you," he said softly before bending down for my mouth. That was all I needed."

The action,  the romance ( Gah! Where's my Cross?!) the drama, just all of it makes for the perfect read you won't want to put down.

Tijan has done it yet again. Just learn to expect greatness from her. 😉
