✨ April Reading Wrap-Up! ✨

I swear this year is just flying by, which I'm okay with, since so far it hasn't been that great. And neither has my reading. I don't know what it is, but trying to get out of this reading slump has been really hard. I've only managed to read six books this month, which is way less than I had intended, but would have been lower if not for the last two books I read of the month that jolted me out of this slump. Fingers crossed it stays that way this time! 🤞
Now for the books I read in April! Let me know in the comments if we read any of the same books or if any of the ones I read are on your TBR! Also, let me know if you like me adding the little mini area for my thoughts on the book, and what books I wasn't able to finish this month. I thought it might be a little less boring than just reading a list of books and my ratings. 🙂

1. Need
by
K.I. Lynn & N. Isabell Blanco
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️
Genre: Romance
Release Date: March 3'rd, 2015
Page Length: 340
Thoughts:
It was an okay read for me. I was expecting to like it more than I did because I love the friends to lovers trope, but the constant back and forth between the main characters was just really annoying to me. Not too sure if I'll read the other books, even though there is a lot left unanswered.

2. From Blood and Ash (Blood and Ash, #1) ❤️
by
Jennifer L. Armentrout
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
My Review
Genre: Adult High Fantasy
Release Date: March 30'th, 2020
Page Length: 634
Thoughts:
I loved this book. JLA is one of my favorite authors. I would read anything this woman wrote. This is her first high fantasy release, and she blew it out of the water. I am so ready for book two!

3. Tell Me Pretty Lies
by
Charleigh Rose
*ARC
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️ 3.5
My Review
Genre: Romance
Release Date: April 5'th, 2020
Page Length: 289
Thoughts:
Honestly a little let down by this one. I usually love Charleighs writing, but there was just something missing in this one. It didn't grip me like her other books have. The charcaters were okay, the plot and story wasnt anything special, though. And it was really slow going pace wise.

4. Summer Heat
by
Rachel Van Dyken
*ARC
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️
My Review
Genre: Romance
Release Date: July 31'st, 2020
Page Length: 149
Thoughts:
Summer Heat was one of the Netgalley ARC's I was trying to get caught up on in April, which is why this was an ARC read even though it released last year. 😬
But I enjoyed it, and it was a vey quick read. It definitely had that first book set up feel to it, though. I'm not sure if I'll continue and read the other books or not, even though it does end on a cliffhanger. We'll see.

5. The Prince and The Pawn (When Rivals Play, #4)
by
B.B. Reid
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️
My Review
Genre: Romance
Release Date: April 21'st, 2020
Page Length: 401
Thoughts:
If you've read my review for the previous book in this series, The Punk and The Plaything, then you know that I unfortunately didn't really enjoy that one. That made me super nervous going into The Prince and The Pawn, but thankfully I did wind up liking it for the most part. You can read my spoiler free review for more of my thoughts on why I said for the most part lol.

6. Riot House ❤️
by
Callie Hart
*ARC
Rating: ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
My Review
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: April 29'th, 2020

Thoughts:
Callie Hart to save the day! I loved this book so much, you guys. The whole feel of it, the little mystery we get. Wren and Elodie. Ugh, it's just so good!!
