What secondary character is your favorite or even outshined the main character?

Answer:

Honestly the first character that came to my mind as soon as I read this question, is Simon from the mortal instruments by Cassandra Clare. Out of all of the secondary characters that I can think of Simon is my favorite. He really adds to the story, and him and Clary's friendship is one of my favorites.
