Blurb:

College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties…and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop—rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

Review:

I love this series. These books are always so much fun to read. I loved Conor and Taylor. And like the previous books in this series The Dare was a lot of fun to read and had me laughing out loud quite a few times.

Though it does have it's funny and light moments The Dare felt a little bit more serious than the previous books in this series. Both Conor and Taylor are dealing with their own issues in life and insecurities rear their ugly heads in both of them when they get together.

I can really sympathize with Taylor and her struggles. It's something that a lot of woman also struggle with, and it was very realistic and heart wrenching reading about her struggle and her working through it all.

Conor is that type of man that you wish you could find in real life. He's so amazing with Taylor. Their friendship in the beginning before they get together was one of my favorite parts. When he notices her insecurities with herself, he never stops trying to show her how beautiful she is, even while he's dealing with his own insecurities, and she does the same for him. I loved these two together.

These two think that they are the opposite of good for each other, but they are exactly what the other one needs. This story was sweet, it was funny, steamy, and it was also realistic.

Overall it was a really great romance read. I wouldn't say it's light do to the topics, and things that the characters struggle with throughout this book, but like always Elle Kennedy's writing captures your attention and keeps you hooked to the story. Another great addition to the Briar U Universe.
